Ellezelles – Maison du Pays des Collines
Renovation of the north and south sections of the existing building and construction of the new Maison du Pays des Collines
The project involves renovating and extending the Maison du Pays des Collines in Ellezelles, in order to transform this tourist site into a livelier, more versatile space called the "Maison Vivante du Pays des Collines."
The building will be modernised and reorganised to improve the reception of visitors, with a restructured welcome area and a renovated shop. The project also plans new functions intended to enrich the tourist and cultural experience: a cafeteria, a garden, spaces for creative workshops, as well as permanent and temporary exhibition areas dedicated to the natural, historical and folkloric heritage of the region.
The aim is also to make this place a friendly space for local residents, by involving them in its design. A citizen consultation has been launched to gather their ideas and accounts of the popular culture and folklore of the Pays des Collines, which will in particular help shape the scenography of the future space.
