Forest IPPJ Project
Renovation & extension of a Brussels heritage site
Located at the heart of the former Victor Horta boarding school, the Forest IPPJ site carries a dual ambition: bringing a listed Art Deco building back to life while shaping a modern setting suited to welcoming Brussels' youth.
A large-scale project, carried out with the rigour that heritage deserves.
What the project includes:
- Renovation of the existing buildings while respecting their original architectural character.
- Reconstruction and extension of the main building to meet contemporary functional needs.
- Creation of educational and sports spaces, classrooms and indoor sports infrastructure.
- Development of the park, pond, preserved natural areas and outdoor sports field.
Technical challenges:
Each phase draws on cross-disciplinary expertise: careful management of the built heritage, preservation of green spaces, ongoing security of a site in operation. A complex project, carried out with method and respect for the existing structure.
