Cuesmes – Sports Complex
Energy renovation of the Cuesmes complex, construction of a multipurpose hall with a daycare center, renovation of the surrounding areas, and creation of a landscaped park.
This ambitious project involves the demolition of the old, run-down sports hall and its complete reconstruction, along with the creation of a CALVA multipurpose room, a nursery and a landscaped community park.
A brand-new multi-sports hall The old sports hall, now obsolete, makes way for a modern, high-performance facility. This new facility will allow numerous clubs from various sports disciplines to have a venue worthy of the name.
A redesigned CALVA room Next to the new multi-sports hall, a brand-new CALVA room, tailored to Cuesmes, will be built. The new room will have a capacity of more than 400 seats, thus meeting the many requests from the local population and associations who found themselves cramped in the old facility.
An integrated 42-place nursery On the upper floor of the building, a 42-place nursery is integrated into the project, reinforcing the childcare offering, alongside the nurseries currently being created in Ghlin, Mons and Jemappes.
A landscaped park for everyone Around the hall, the City is developing a brand-new landscaped park, in the immediate vicinity of the Place de Cuesmes, offering sports facilities, play and relaxation areas, a Vita course as well as a skate park — a space designed for all audiences and all generations.
