Dherte is currently leading the exemplary conversion of the "Les Silos des Bastions" industrial site, located on the banks of the Scheldt in Tournai. This unique project is transforming a piece of industrial history into a modern and sustainable residential complex, while preserving iconic heritage features such as four historic silos and the paraboloid, a remarkable concrete canopy.
The project includes 75 new homes spread across three buildings, integrated into an environment redesigned to promote green spaces, soft mobility, and the greening of the site. The landscaping includes tall trees, shaded areas, and the enhancement of the towpath.
The design and construction emphasize sustainability and energy efficiency:
- PEB A or A+ housing
- Underfloor heating and reversible heat pump for cooling in summer
- Dual-flow ventilation
- Optional photovoltaic panels
- Strict respect for the environment and the life cycle of materials
