Tournai - CRP Les Marronniers
Construction of the new secure psychiatric hospital. At the Centre Régional Psychiatrique (CRP) Les Marronniers, a major extension project is currently underway within the Secure Psychiatric Hospital (HPS). It aims to significantly improve patient care, particularly through intensified treatment and a reduction in the number of patients per unit. Key figures:

The Centre Régional Psychiatrique Les Marronniers, located in Tournai, is a century-old institution specialising in mental health care. The project is situated on the outskirts of the city, between the prison, the barracks and the existing Les Marronniers site. It includes the construction of a new Secure Psychiatric Centre, carried out in two phases. Phase 1: construction of new buildings
- An entrance building, designed in a triangular shape, comprising a ground floor, two levels and a semi-basement floor
- Two accommodation wings, known as "Main Nord" and "Main Sud", built on two levels
An intermediate phase will ensure the transition of patients and staff to these new facilities. Phase 2: transformation of the site
- Demolition of the former Secure Psychiatric Hospital, including asbestos removal operations
- Development of the surrounding areas and redevelopment of the second part of the site
