Dherte continues the progress of the construction site at the Institut Saint-Joseph in La Louvière.

The structural works have reached several important milestones over the past few weeks.

The teams completed the raft foundation and drainage works, before installing the prefabricated structure of the future refectory, consisting of columns, beams and hollow-core slabs. At the same time, concrete block masonry has begun on the ground floor of the tower that will house the staircase and the lift.

This project aims to improve the school's infrastructure with:

  • the construction of a new refectory intended to accommodate students,
  • a new staircase dimensioned in accordance with current evacuation standards,
  • a lift,
  • a green roof,
  • brick masonry for the refectory,
  • and zinc cladding for the staircase-lift tower.

In the coming months, Dherte will continue raising the tower with the masonry of the various floors, the installation of the staircases and hollow-core slabs, before beginning the brick masonry works. A project that illustrates Dherte's expertise in the construction of school infrastructure combining functionality, durability and quality of execution.
