Ongoing construction site in Uccle – Institut Montjoie - Marie Immaculée
We are building the new school of Institut Montjoie – Marie Immaculée in Uccle, a project that brings together the primary and secondary sections within a modern and sustainable infrastructure.
The construction is taking place in two major phases:
Phase 1 – Basement & sports facilities Two underground levels at more than 7 m depth: sports hall, changing rooms, technical rooms and classrooms. A true technical challenge with 13,000 m³ of excavated soil, secant piles, 500 m³ of concrete walls and steel truss beams 17 m long weighing nearly 9 tonnes each.
Phase 2 – Timber superstructure Three above-ground levels in timber structure for a resolutely sustainable construction with low environmental impact.
In total: 5,475 m² of built surface + 2,885 m² of exterior landscaping designed as fully-fledged living spaces.
A technical, human and committed project, in the heart of Uccle.
